What is CBD OIL?
Cannabidiol (or CBD) is one of over 100 known cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant and typically the second most abundant cannabinoid found in cannabis.
Cannabinoids are the organic chemical compounds found in cannabis such as CBD, THC, CBG, CBN and many more.
Hemp and marijuana are two of the species found in the Cannabis genus.
Hemp by nature is rich in CBD and very low in THC, the cannabinoid responsible for creating the “high” feeling. In fact, if the THC level exceeds 0.3%, it can not be classified as hemp.
CBD works in conjunction with our bodies’ Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to modulate signals sent to the brain via CB-1 and CB-2 receptors. It’s this system that is responsible for maintaining homeostasis in most of your body’s other systems. The ECS receives and translates signals from cannabinoids.
